Dear Friends and Partners,

Something is happening in Northern Thailand — and we want to bring you right into it.

Four months ago, we planted a flag in the district of San Kamphaeng. A few months before that, we began gathering university students from across Chiang Mai. And in June, something we had been praying for finally happened — churches and organizations from across Thailand locked arms for twelve straight hours of prayer and worship for this nation.

This is not a report. This is an invitation — to pray with us, believe with us, and walk with us into what God is doing right now in Northern Thailand.

SAN KAMPHAENG COMMUNITY CENTER

San Kamphaeng sits just east of Chiang Mai — known for its silk, handicrafts, and hot springs. But behind the tourism is a deeply traditional, largely agricultural community. Most families here farm rice, grow longans and mangoes, and raise livestock. Life moves around the rhythms of seasons, temples, and village festivals.

It is a beautiful place. And it is a place where the Gospel has barely been heard.

Less than 1 in every 150 residents is actively connected to a local church. Nine out of ten villages have little to no ongoing Gospel witness. Most churches here are small fellowships — faithful, but without the capacity to reach the whole district on their own.

This is the gap our community center exists to fill.

We reach into these communities by teaching basic subjects — English, Math, Science, and Values Education — to children, partnering with schools around our area. It starts small: a child learning a new word, solving a new problem. But every lesson builds a relationship. And every relationship opens a door.

Because when we reach a child, we meet a parent. And when we meet a parent, we have a reason to invite them further — into our livelihood programs, where real needs are met and real trust is built.

One classroom. One family. One village at a time. That’s how nine out of ten becomes ten out of ten.

Fasai — the girl in the yellow shirt — is a 13-year-old Thai girl who first came to our community center eager to join the after-school tutorial program we offer to the community.

Over the weeks in her class, she grew close to everyone around her. Slowly, the questions started coming. She wanted to know why we did what we did. One day, she finally asked it out loud:

“Why are you showing so much love to the children in this community?”

That question opened a door. Through the love and care she experienced at the center, Fasai’s heart slowly opened to the gospel.

But her story didn’t stop there. She brought her family to the center too. Her mom joined our livelihood program and learned to bake. And today, nine members of Fasai’s family — including Fasai herself — are walking through our discipleship program, growing in their new-found faith in Jesus.

This is exactly why the Community Center exists. Not simply to run programs — but to build the kind of trusted, long-term relationships that create space for the Gospel to take root. We are not in the business of short-term relief. We are in the business of long-term transformation.

Four months in, the ground is being prepared. Families are connecting. Trust is being built. And we believe the harvest is coming.

REACHING COLLEGE STUDENTS ONE UNI AT A TIME

Historically, many of the world’s spiritual awakenings began among students. The Haystack Prayer Meeting. The Welsh Revival, where young people made up much of the movement. The Asbury Revival. The birth of countless campus ministries around the globe. Again and again, God has chosen the university as holy ground.

Universities are strategic because students are:

• Making lifelong decisions about identity and purpose
• Building friendships that often last decades
• Future teachers, doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, pastors, government officials, and business leaders
• Highly influential in shaping culture

One disciple on campus can influence an entire network that eventually spreads across Thailand.

Chiang Mai is the educational center of Northern Thailand. Students from every province in the north — and many from across Thailand and neighboring countries like Myanmar, Laos, and China — come here for higher education. Well over 100,000 students study across Chiang Mai each year, though exact totals vary.

Here’s why we are invested into this ministry: after graduation, many of these students return home. Reach one student in Chiang Mai today, and you may be reaching a future teacher in Nan, a doctor in Chiang Rai, an engineer in Lampang, or a government official in Phayao.

UNI: University Network for Impact

UNI launched on June 26, gathering students from seven different universities. It was perfect timing — freshmen from these same schools were just arriving on campus, giving us a wide-open door for deeper Gospel engagement.

Our goal and prayer is simple: infiltrate the universities with the Gospel of Jesus and raise up a new breed of believers who will turn their campuses upside down.

From Guest to Missionary: Pat’s Story

Pat walked into one of our UNI game nights last semester for one simple reason — a friend invited him. He had no idea that one night would change the direction of his life.

He kept coming back. Week after week, he connected with our university community, growing through discipleship and training alongside other students hungry for more. Something in him was shifting — quietly, steadily, the way God often works before we notice.

Then, before last semester ended, Pat came to us with a question we didn’t expect: Could he serve part-time with our campus ministry?

Today, Pat is one of our young campus missionaries — reaching his fellow students with the same Gospel that reached him.

That’s the beauty of it. Pat didn’t just receive something. He turned around and started giving it away.

Pat is just one story among many — but it’s stories like his that fuel everything we do. The work of reaching university students is slow. It’s challenging. It doesn’t happen overnight. But we see God moving, one student at a time, one friendship at a time, one invitation at a time.

We’re not just investing in a semester. We’re sowing the Gospel into the future leaders of Thailand — the teachers, doctors, engineers, and pastors who will shape this nation for decades to come.

And it starts with someone simply saying, “Come, check this out.”

Every gift, every prayer, every hour poured into this ministry is helping write more stories like Pat’s. Stories of students who walked in as guests and walked out as missionaries.

This is why the investment is worth it. This is why we keep going.

CHIANG MAI HOUSE OF PRAYER

“For my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Isaiah 56:7 (ESV)

I don’t really know how to describe what’s happening in our hearts these days. There’s this hunger for worship and prayer that just won’t let up. It’s not something we do because it’s what churches are supposed to do. It’s become the place where we meet with God and actually contend — for this nation, for breakthrough, for something we can’t manufacture on our own.

History is not ultimately shaped in parliaments or palaces, but in prayer rooms where heaven is invited to rewrite the destiny of nations.

Northern Thailand has long been called spiritually dry ground. And maybe it is. But we keep coming back to this picture — prayer and worship are like rain falling on hard soil. Rain doesn’t force anything to grow overnight. It just softens what’s hardened. It works quietly, underground, until one day something breaks through that nobody saw coming.

And that’s what we’re starting to see.

Over these past months, God has surprised us. He’s brought people — ordinary people, some we didn’t even know were praying for the same things — who now carry this same weight for Thailand. The House of Prayer isn’t just a gathering anymore. It’s becoming a place where people walk in one way and walk out different. Some of them are meeting Jesus for the very first time in that room.

We can’t fully explain what’s happening. We just know we’re standing somewhere new. Something is shifting under the surface, and we don’t want to be anywhere else but here, watching, praying, waiting for what God does next.

The 12 Hour Burn

The 12 Hour Burn was epic — twelve straight hours of non-stop prayer and worship, mobilizing churches across the city for a single, unbroken day of contending for heaven.

From 9am to 9pm, believers from different churches and organizations showed up ready — ready to engage heaven, ready to burn, ready to not back down until something shifted.

And it was an incredible sight to witness: locals themselves taking the lead, praying over their own city, their own nation. Not waiting for someone else to carry the weight. Standing up and carrying it themselves.

Hour after hour, our hearts stayed set on fire. We cried out for a spiritual awakening to sweep across Thailand. We pushed back against the darkness that has hovered over this nation for far too long. And we prayed Thailand back into her true identity, her true purpose, her true destiny.

Something broke in the spiritual realm that day. We felt it. We believe it. And we’re convinced a major breakthrough is at hand.

The fire is lit. And we’re not letting it go out.

GIVING BIRTH TO A CHURCH

Giving Birth to a Church for a Generation

When we first arrived here three and a half years ago, we carried a dream in our hearts we could barely put into words — to see a church established that exists to reach and disciple young people. Not as a side program. Not as an add-on ministry. As its very heartbeat.

That dream didn’t come out of nowhere. So much of our own journey in ministry was forged serving high school and college students, and honestly, that passion never left us — it just kept simmering underneath everything else we’ve built here. From day one, we knew that investing in the next generation would be the key to lasting impact in this nation. Reach a student today, and you’re reaching a future the whole nation will feel.

Then last year, after returning from Jesus Revolution Convergence 2025, something reignited in us. What had been a quiet, patient desire suddenly became a stirring we couldn’t ignore. We started asking God the question we’d been circling for years: Is now the time?

So as we stepped into January, we set our hearts to pray — really pray — and God started making it clear. This is the next step. What once felt distant now felt present. What once felt like a dream now feels like an assignment.

And so, with faith and a whole lot of excitement, we’re preparing to launch a college-focused church before the end of this year.

This is just the start. Our vision is bigger than one campus, one city, one generation — we believe this college church is a seed. Reach students now, and you’re raising up the future pastors, leaders, and everyday believers who will carry the Gospel into every corner of Thailand for decades to come.

And already, we’re watching God move. We’ve started gathering a team, and it’s been nothing short of incredible watching Him bring the right people at exactly the right time — each one carrying the same fire, the same heart, the same conviction that students’ lives are worth everything we’ve got.

We won’t pretend this is a small thing. Planting a church among students will take faith, endurance, and a level of dependence on God we’re still learning to walk in. But we’re moving forward anyway — full of confidence, because we know who’s actually leading this.

Would you stand with us? We’re asking for prayer — for wisdom, for unity, for provision, for doors to open that only God can open — as we step into this next season. We genuinely believe what God is about to do among these students will ripple out far beyond anything we can see right now.

This is just the beginning. And we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s next.

• Please pray for our new church plant as we prepare and equip our team. Our desire is for this new work to be birthed in the Spirit and covered in prayer from the very beginning.

• Please continue to pray for our personal discipleship groups. Rina is investing in the lives of several teenage girls, while John is discipling a group of men as they grow deeper in their walk with the Lord.

• Please pray for wisdom, strength, and grace as we continue serving with Within Reach Global, especially in leadership roles and in the work of church planting. Ask the Lord to guide us clearly as we help build healthy, Spirit-led ministries.

• Please pray for the Chiang Mai House of Prayer, that the Lord would continue to lay a strong and enduring foundation. Pray that it would become a place of worship, intercession, and mission that bears lasting fruit in Chiang Mai and across Thailand.

• Please pray for God’s continued covering, protection, and strength over our family as we live and serve here in Thailand.

• Pray for Jet (15), Kari (13), and Reese (8) as they grow, that they would love Jesus deeply, walk closely with Him, and be salt and light among their classmates and friends.

• Please also remember John’s and Rina’s parents in the Philippines in prayer. Ask the Lord to watch over them, grant them good health and strength, and fill their days with His peace and sustaining grace.
