Greetings from Chiang Mai, Thailand!

As we enter 2025, we are grateful for the incredible ways God is moving in this region. These past few months have been filled with exciting developments and fruitful partnerships despite different challenges, and we are eager to share them with you. Thank you for being part of this journey through your prayers, support, and encouragement.

Building for the Future: Base Project in Mae Lek! 

Exciting things are happening in Mae Lek! We are thrilled to share that one of the most significant projects this quarter is underway—the construction of a toilet and shower facility in Mae Lek, a vital first step toward establishing a future team base in the region.

This initiative is made possible through our incredible partnership with Victory Faith Church from Spokane, Washington.  Seven men of God were sent to help us with the construction of this project. This is more than just a construction project—it’s the foundation for life-changing ministry! Their generous support, both in resources and manpower, has been instrumental in turning this vision into reality.

This base will play a crucial role in bringing the gospel to many unreached communities in the province of Lamphun, which has only a 0.02% Christian population. This province is one of the most unreached areas in northern Thailand, and having this functional mission hub in the heart of the province will increase our capacity to bring gospel access to its people. 

This future mission hub will be a launchpad for outreach, discipleship, and community transformation—a place where teams will stay, serve, and bring the light of Christ to the unreached people of Mae Lek.

Aside from construction work, this team also ministered to the local villagers.  Establishing connections through conversations was their way to share the gospel.  I believe lifetime connections were established during their short stay in Mae Lek.  These connections will serve as a bridge for future ministry work in this part of Northern Thailand.

Our prayer is that this project will not only meet practical needs but also be a dwelling place of God’s presence, where hearts are transformed and lives are changed for eternity!

Cavite House of Prayer Visits CNX House of Prayer

 Igniting a Prayer Movement in Thailand!

In February, we had the incredible privilege of hosting a team from Cavite House of Prayer in the Philippines. Their visit was a divine appointment, as they explored a ministry partnership with CNX House of Prayer here in Chiang Mai.

Together, we travelled to Thu Hua Chiang, where we gathered with pastors from Lamphun province to cast the vision for the House of Prayer movement.

This was more than just a meeting—it was a God-ordained moment of breakthrough! Worship filled the atmosphere, faith was stirred, and a fresh passion for intercession was ignited. 

The House of Prayer is not just a place—it is a spiritual powerhouse that shifts the heavens! Through unceasing worship and intercession, strongholds are broken, Chiang Mai will be transformed, and the hearts of people will be ready to receive the Gospel. We believe that through prayer, we will witness revival and lasting change at every level—personal, regional, and national.

We believe Thailand is at the brink of a mighty move of God! Our vision is to see local churches empowered to be houses of prayer, so that instead of incense to idols rising up, it will be the incense of prayer and worship from every church rising! Let it be the precursor to day and night unceasing prayer and worship that will usher in a great spiritual awakening.

 – Going after the Gen Zs –

It has always been our heart to disciple the youth, we believe that God has called this young generation to be the forerunners of their time, to prepare the way for second coming of Christ. They will usher in the greatest revival that is yet to come. That’s why every Monday and Friday, we have discipleship with our kids’ schoolmates who they have shared the Gospel with. Some were from Buddhist families and some are missionary kids. 

In just one just a few weeks since we started this discipleship journey, we are already witnessing God at work! Hearts are softening, conversations about faith and Jesus are deepening.  Just two days ago, Jethro was overjoyed to finally have lead one of his Buddhist classmate to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior!  He has spent so many conversations with him about Jesus, answering questions about faith and many months of praying for him. It is such a joy to witness our kids being used by God to bring their friends to the Lord.

 – Training The Locals for Ministry –

Expanding the Kingdom in Ban Luang!

Our ministry in Chiang Mai is advancing faster than we ever imagined! Before the end of 2024, we launched a new church-planting work in the Karen village of Ban Luang, Lamphun Province—another step toward reaching the unreached.

To keep up with the growing need for discipleship, we have started leadership training for pastors and leaders, equipping them to reach their own communities with the Gospel. Empowering local believers is key to lasting transformation!

It’s an honor to build relationships with our local partners as we dream, plan, and work together to make a difference. We’ve already connected with the village chief and are eager to establish a strong, long-term partnership.

Next, we’ll launch community projects to improve living conditions—creating opportunities to share the love of Jesus in this predominantly Buddhist village. Our vision is clear: to see a thriving church rise up in Ban Luang, bringing hope and spiritual growth to the entire community.

 – THE MAC FAMILY –

Ministry is both fulfilling and demanding. There are times of exhaustion and challenges, but God’s grace continually strengthens us. We remain grateful, knowing that His faithfulness sustains us each step of the way.

From March to mid-May, Northern Thailand enters the smoke season, when pollution from forest fires makes breathing difficult. Since it began, our kids have struggled with allergies, colds, and coughing. Please pray for God’s protection and strength over our family.

Despite these temporary hardships, we hold on to this truth: the fruit of the ministry far outweighs the challenges! God is moving in Northern Thailand, and we are honored to be part of His work.

Our kids are growing up fast! With two Gen Z teenagers, we’re navigating teen talks and emotions and even learning their lingo—a fun and sometimes challenging journey.

We’re grateful that they are open to conversations and still enjoy spending time with us. And, of course, we cherish our seven-year-old Reese, who still loves cuddles and playtime with Mommy and Daddy.

One of our greatest blessings is doing ministry as a family. Though our kids communicate in their way, they share the same passion for God and people. When Jetrho brought us the news that he finally lead his Thai friend to Christ, we were just so overjoyed to see him experience that ecstatic feeling of winning a soul for God.  Moments like these remind us how blessed we are.

We thank God for this season of life and the privilege of walking this journey together as a family.

1. Children’s Education. Jethro, Kari  & Reese go to a Christian school here in Chiang Mai (also an A.C.E. school). It has helped much with their adjustment.  We are praying for the constant provision of their tuition fees.

Anointing and Godly Wisdom for the Ministry

We rely completely on the Holy Spirit’s power to preach the Gospel and make disciples here. At times, Thailand feels like hard soil, but we believe this is a kairos moment—a season for the Gospel to break through and bring many to Christ. More than ever, we need God’s guidance and anointing to carry out this mission.

Over 2 billion people are yet to hear the name of Jesus globally. A lack of gospel access is the greatest injustice known to humanity. We are on a mission to change that and we invite you to join us.
